Charlie & Jeannie have been in Real Estate since 1996 for Charlie and since 2000 for Jeannie. They are "locally grown agents" as Charlie was born & raised in Oak Harbor and has lived in the Mount Vernon area since 1972. Jeannie was born & raised in Mount Vernon. They are full-time agents, specializing mainly in residential homes. Charlie has also done some commercial listings as well as being known in the community as a very knowledgeable ag land agent, since he owned and operated a large dairy farm business in Skagit Co. for approximately 19 years before getting into real estate. Jeannie used to work as a pediatric nurse at a Mount Vernon clinic for 13 years, prior to going into Real Estate.
Charlie & Jeannie have fine-tuned their business by dividing up the responsibilities of taking care of their clients. They have well-defined job descriptions so that they can use their strong points in doing the things in their business that they love to do. Jeannie works mainly with the buyers, searching, e-mailing homes, and showing the homes to potential buyers. Charlie works more with the sellers as well as doing all of the negotiation of terms, taking care of the financial, inspections, and other matters.
Charlie & Jeannie have an assistant to help them with all of the database entering, all newsletters, all graphic designing & computer work, etc. They have also hired a business coach to help keep them balanced and on track in all aspects of life.
Charlie & Jeannie work full-time, but do take every Sunday off. Church attendance is a priority for them as well as spending time each Sunday with family or friends. Charlie & Jeannie love to open their home for entertaining... whether it`s having a BBQ on their back patio or having a gourmet dinner party. They have a zest for life and love being around people to share and socialize. Charlie & Jeannie have been married since 1975. They have 4 grown children and now the grandchildren are a very important part of their joy of life! Some of their hobbies... camping, biking, music enjoyment, Barbershop quartet singing, dancing, traveling, gourmet cooking, and entertaining.
